Chapter Mission
The Greater Cincinnati Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals provides a forum for advancing philanthropy through advocacy and the education of its members and the community at large. Its members adhere to a code of ethical principles and standards of professional practices.
Chapter Vision
The Greater Cincinnati Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals is a vital professional organization. AFP consistently meets the needs of its members and stimulates meaningful and conscious philanthropy in the community.
AFP provides a forum where everyone is welcomed and valued. The chapter promotes professional advancement through education, upholds ethical standards, honors and encourages diversity and fosters friendships.
AFP also serves the tri-state as a resource and educator to government, not-for-profit and corporate leaders, the media and others in matters of philanthropy. AFP plays a crucial role in today's philanthropic process.
Chapter Goal Statement
The chapter's goals are to advance the development profession in the Southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky region, as well as to serve as a professional resource. The Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the AFP invites all development professionals and community volunteers to become involved with the chapter to support the tradition of advancing philanthropy.
Chapter Strategic Objectives
To create a valuable experience for all levels of membership and to provide an array of opportunities for learning, networking and continuing education.
To offer the highest quality programming to ensure ethical fundraising practices; to develop a comprehensive continuing education menu; and to promote collaboration with other organizations offering philanthropic programming.
To develop a succession plan to provide continuity of leadership.
To increase awareness of the value of membership that will address each specific constituency's needs; to evaluate the effectiveness of chapter messages and communication techniques; to develop a comprehensive communication plan and ensure its implementation.
