How can you get that? A great resource is the comprehensive database and powerful search tools Foundation Directory Online offers. Presented by Kent Mulcahy\, Grants Resource Librarian of Cincinnati & Hamilton County. \nFoundation Panel Discussion and Lunch 11:30am – 1pm \nThis is a great opportunity to meet some of Cincinnati’s grant managers and learn what they look for in awarding funds. Panelists include: \n\nKim Vogelgesang from the Duke Energy Foundation\nRoger Smith from the Woodward Trust\nChristine Bochenek from the Haile Foundation\nZohar Perla from the Greater Cincinnati Foundation\n\nAfternoon Session: 1pm-3:30pm\nAn Introduction to Grant Writing  \nParticipants will learn the 12 critical elements that are necessary for successfully researching and writing each section of the grant proposal\, and take part in quick\, hands-on exercises to practice what they learn. “An Introduction to Grant Writing” will also include a number of key takeaways and resource materials that can be used to ensure continued success. Prior to her role at Habitat Chicago\, Betsy was a Major Gifts Officer of the Midwest Region for Lambda Legal\, an Associate Director at CCS Fundraising\, as well as a Development Project Manager at Heartland Alliance. \nBetsy served as Board Chair for Chicago Women’s Health Center\, a feminist health center dedicated to providing comprehensive and affordable healthcare to women and transgender people and was the Co-Chair of the LBTQ Giving Council of Chicago Foundation for Women. She was a 2020 Fundraising for Good Leadership Network participant\, a 2018 Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Chicago Chapter Chamberlain Scholar\, and a 2017 AFP Chicago Fellow. Betsy was recognized by the Windy City Times as a “30 Under 30” awardee in 2013 and by The L Stop as one of the “Top Ten Chicago Lesbians to Look Out For” in 2012. \nBetsy holds an MA in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago and a BA in Philosophy from Washington University in St. Louis. \n\nThis event will be approved for 1.0 CFRE Credits. \n  \n  \n\n\n
