AFP National Expands Member Benefits with $30 Professional/Associate Dues Increase
This spring, AFP international announced a change in membership fees at the IHQ level. Members received direct notice by email regarding the $30 increase for professional and associate members. These changes do not affect our Cincinnati Chapter fees.
Among new member benefits are FREE! Negotiation Workshops and Career Coaching.
AFP National has partnered with the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to provide all members a free one-hour online negotiation workshop. In addition, AFP National has launched with Korn Ferry the new AFP360°, our free online career builder and management tool!
Some members may not be aware of everything that AFP and its chapters do to help them raise funds and advance their careers. Here are just two examples:

2019 Calling All Artists, Poets and Photographers!

2019 ArtsWave Now Accepting Nominations for 2019 Grant Review Committees
ArtsWave in the process of recruiting individuals to review and award general operating grants this spring. This is ArtsWave’s largest grant-making program and they have expanded their recruitment process this year to include nominations from the community.
We would like to share this volunteer opportunity with our AFP Board and Membership. Here is the link to ArtWave’s website. 2018 Grants Training in Cincinnati, OH – July 16-20
The Grantsmanship Center is hosting its dynamic, 5-day grants training program in Cincinnati from July 16-20. Join generations of social advocates who have achieved success by attending this grant proposal writing course – the nation’s gold standard of grant-seeker education. Full participation in the Grantsmanship Training Program is applicable for 33.0 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification. Partial scholarships are available for organizations with a budget of under $750,000
2018 Don’t Miss the Next CFRE Application Deadline: 15 July
If you’ve been considering submitting a CFRE application, now is the time to put yours together and submit! Get yours in by the July 15 deadline to get one step closer to becoming a Certified Fund Raising Executive. Once your application is approved, you’ll be eligible to sit for the CFRE exam.
