SUMMARY:20th Annual Not-for-Profit Leadership Summit
DESCRIPTION:Participants will: \n\nDiscover how to use data and outcomes to generate new funding sources\, increase program effectiveness\, and improve operations\nDevelop measurement cultures and leadership skills essential for successful outcomes and results\nCreate customized logic models for success\nDefine success measures and learn proven strategies for effectively measuring and communicating impact and outcomes\nIdentify a path for advancing the organization toward  a high-performance measurement culture\nLearn from other high-achieving non-profit leaders\n\nSpecific case studies and group activities will be used to illustrate these points. In addition\, each in-person or virtual attendee will receive take-home templates and worksheets designed to allow them to implement the concepts learned. Live attendees to the in-person or virtual session will earn 3.0 hours CPE credit. \nWorkshop Details\nWorkshop 1: Data-Driven Strategic Planning for Fundraising Success\nFunding is the lifeblood for all organizations in the business of social change. But when your resources are limited\, so is your impact. Fortunately\, there is a new and better way that makes it possible to create an environment where attracting the resources you need to achieve your mission occurs with more ease and less stress. By implementing certain behaviors and practices\, coupled with a data-driven approach to strategic planning\, you and your team will spend less time chasing money\, and more time moving your mission forward. \nJoin Measurement Resources Company and SureImpact\, Inc. founder and CEO Sheri Chaney Jones to learn how to make your organization irresistible to funders and donors. In this 90-minute session\, Sheri will share her game-changing research and strategies designed to help fundraising professionals and social sector leaders rebound from the pandemic stronger than ever before. Through Measurement Resources’ data-driven strategic planning tools and best practices\, your organization will be better positioned for long-term success and sustainability in a post-pandemic world. \nWorkshop 2: How to Turn Data into Dollars: Demonstrate Your Social Impact\nFrom galas to golf outings\, many traditional in-person fundraising events were essentially nonexistent throughout 2020\, and although some have slowly reemerged throughout 2021\, it’s likely that this form of securing financial security across the social sector will be changed forever. Simultaneously\, CARES Act funding will disappear\, and many organizations will experience a dramatic increase in their reliance on grants to continue to operate their programs and services\, to meet the increased need in their communities. \nThis environment has left many fundraising professionals and leadership teams asking: \n\nHow can we explore new methods to replace these long-standing traditions?\nWill we have to continue to maintain a hybrid approach to maintaining donor relations\, in terms of virtual vs. face-to-face?\nHow can we develop new ones in this new environment?\nHow can we plan for this increase in competition for grant funding?\n\nThe answer is impact. Organizations that can demonstrate and communicate their social impact and articulate their social return on investment (SROI)\, will be the organizations who will win across multiple sources of funding. From donors and funders to sponsorships and grants\, Measurement Resources Company and SureImpact\, Inc. founder and CEO Sheri Chaney Jones will share how you can use outcomes data to communicate the impact your programs and services generate\, in order to prove your value to multiple stakeholder groups\, all while increasing trust and affinity for your organization’s mission. \nAbout Our Speaker: \nFor over 20 years\, Sheri Chaney Jones has improved government agencies\, non-profits\, and small businesses through the use of performance management\, evaluation\, and organizational behavior best practices. Her experience and expertise have transformed measurement cultures and as a result\, saved public dollars\, improved outcomes\, demonstrated effectiveness\, and increased revenues. By developing a measurement culture and using data collection and analysis\, Sheri helped one client turn a $420\,000 loss into a $420\,000 gain. \nA successful project with another client resulted in a program savings of approximately $100\,000 a year\, and yet another client saw an annual savings of $250 Million in Medicaid spending. Sheri is the President of Measurement Resources Company and author of Impact & Excellence published by Jossey-Bass in 2014. \nAt The Ohio State University\, Sheri taught a course on creating measurement cultures as part of the Certified Public Manager’s Program. Sheri earned an M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Central Michigan University and a B.S. with distinction in Psychology from The Ohio State University. \n\n\nDate: Wednesday\, October 6\, 2021\n\nTime:\n\n9:30 – 9:45 AM – Welcome\, Opening Comments\n9:45 – 10:45 AM – Workshop 1\n10:45 – 11:00 AM – Intermission\n11:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Workshop 2 \nLocation:   FULLY VIRTUAL \nIndividual Cost (includes workshop & breakfast)\n\n$55 – AFP or LC Members and BBB accredited charities\n$75 – Non-Members\n$25 – Students\n\nGroup Cost (Group of 3 or more)\nMembers pay only $50/person if you bring 3 or more from your organization.\n  \n\nSheri Chaney Jones is offering her book titled Impact & Excellence: Data-Driven Strategies for Aligning Mission\, Culture and Performance in Nonprofit and Government Organizations at the discounted rate of $30. \n\n\n\n\nRegister \n  \nThis event has been submitted for 2.0 CFRE Credits.
