To win grants, you need the most up-to-date, complete information you can get about grant makers and the grants they’ve made. How can you get that? A great resource is the comprehensive database and powerful search tools Foundation Directory Online offers. Presented by Kent Mulcahy, Grants Resource Librarian of Cincinnati & Hamilton County.

Foundation Panel Discussion and Lunch 11:30am – 1pm

This is a great opportunity to meet some of Cincinnati’s grant managers and learn what they look for in awarding funds. Panelists include:

  • Kim Vogelgesang from the Duke Energy Foundation
  • Roger Smith from the Woodward Trust
  • Christine Bochenek from the Haile Foundation
  • Zohar Perla from the Greater Cincinnati Foundation

Afternoon Session: 1pm-3:30pm
An Introduction to Grant Writing 

Participants will learn the 12 critical elements that are necessary for successfully researching and writing each section of the grant proposal, and take part in quick, hands-on exercises to practice what they learn. “An Introduction to Grant Writing” will also include a number of key takeaways and resource materials that can be used to ensure continued success. Presented by Fearghal Reid,  successful Grants Manager and non-profit consultant since moving to Ohio from his native Ireland in 2014 – generating over $25 million in grant  funds from foundation, corporate, government and individual donors.

NOTE: This workshop opportunity is available in whole-day or half-day sessions. Morning and afternoon sessions include lunch and panel of foundation representatives — not to miss!

This event will be approved for 6.0 CFRE credits if attending whole-day sessions.
Individual session credits are also available.
