Job Description: Development Coordinator

Reports To: Executive Director Location: Cincinnati, OH (In-Person)

Position Type: Full-time (40 hours/week) | Non-Exempt

Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly, Cincinnati Chapter, is a small but mighty nonprofit committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among older adults. With a passionate team of four, we deliver high-impact programming fueled by strong relationships and the generosity of donors, volunteers, and partners.

Position Summary
The Development Coordinator is a key member of our team, responsible for planning and executing fundraising events, managing sponsorships, and supporting the fundraising efforts. This person will serve as the central point for event logistics, donor and sponsor relationships, and cultivation efforts that ensure the success of our fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Gift & Donor Management (40%)

  •  Accurately record and process all donations in donor database (e.g., Little Green Light, Salesforce, DonorPerfect)
  • Prepare and send acknowledgment letters and tax receipts
  • Generate donation reports and assist with reconciliations
  • Maintain donor records and ensure data integrity

Donor & Sponsor Stewardship (60%)

  • Support cultivation of individual and corporate sponsors through outreach and follow- up
  • Coordinate thank-you calls, donor birthday cards, and stewardship touches
  • Assist in compiling sponsorship deliverables and tracking commitments
  • Oversee and coordinate all logistics for fundraising events, including planning, setup, and execution
  • Serve as liaison for sponsors, ensuring deliverables and recognition are fulfilled
  • Maintain and update sponsorship tracking, reports, and communications
  • Oversee fundraising committee meetings, agendas, and follow-ups

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or event coordination
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Friendly and professional communication style, both written and verbal
  • Passion for mission-driven work and helping others
  • Familiarity with donor stewardship and event fundraising practices

Preferred (but not required)

  • Experience with donor databases (e.g., Little Green Light, DonorPerfect)
  • Previous experience in a small nonprofit or lean team environment
  • Understanding of philanthropic culture
