Major Gift Officer: Bethesda Hospitals | TriHealth
The Bethesda Foundation is seeking qualified candidates for a Major Gift Officer for Bethesda Hospitals, a part of the TriHealth system. This position reports to Bethesda Foundation President and CEO and provides direct major gift fundraising support for strategic hospital and system-wide initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize moves management to cultivate existing donors, to continue giving in meaningful ways that lead to potential major gifts or planned giving – maintain a portfolio of qualified prospects, and successfully steward them toward philanthropic gifts.
- Work with Grateful Patients and Families, to connect their desire to give back to funding priorities for Bethesda Hospitals and TriHealth.
- Lead cultivation and stewardship of major gift donors through strategic and organized donor centered cultivation activities & events.
- In partnership with Foundation Leadership, lead and execute the Foundation’s grateful patient and family program.
- Build strong working partnerships with key TriHealth clinical leaders to further our mission.
The ideal candidate:
- Has a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (CFRE recommended)
- Minimum of four years development experience, with demonstrated major gift success.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Proven track record of strong relationship building and closing of major gifts.
- Will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and professionalism in their desire to excel in a not-for-profit environment.
The Bethesda Foundation serves as the fundraising arm of Bethesda North Hospital, Bethesda Butler County Hospital, Hospice of Cincinnati, and Fernside: A Center for Grieving Children. The Bethesda Foundation connects people with their desire to improve the quality of life for patients and families by giving our caregivers the resources they need to provide best in class care provided by Bethesda Hospital and its related entities.
