Senior Foundation Officer

The Good Samaritan Foundation is seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Foundation Officer. This position reports to the President of the Good Samaritan Foundation and provides direct pipeline development & major gift fundraising support for Good Samaritan Hospital, Good Samaritan College of Nursing and Good Samaritan Free Health Center.  The ideal candidate has three to five years mid to major gift fundraising experience and knowledge of building a donor pipeline.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize moves management to cultivate annual campaign donors, to continue giving in meaningful ways that lead to increased corporate and individual major or planned gifts – maintain a portfolio of qualified prospects, and successfully steward them toward philanthropic gifts.
• Work with grateful patients, to connect their desire to give back to Good Samaritan funding priorities.
• Lead cultivation and stewardship of major gift donors through strategic and organized donor centered cultivation activities & events.
• Perform general fundraising duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate:

• Has a minimum of a bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of three years development experience, with demonstrated major gift success.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and professionalism in their desire to excel in a not-for-profit environment.

The Good Samaritan Foundation serves as the fundraising arm of Good Samaritan Hospitals, Good Samaritan College of Nursing and Good Samaritan Free Health Center. Founded in 1986, the Good Samaritan Foundation is the philanthropic vehicle for Good Samaritan Hospital to improve the health of the Greater Cincinnati Community.
